The Internet Movie Database Concept

Light Painting

This is a pretty great looking concept for the infamous IMDB.com by Vladimir Kudinov. With a clean and sleek approach, Vladimir fills the users screen full of information about the film, including; photos, actors trailers, storyline and more. I really like the design, but I feel as though it may be hard for some users to follow. Although the information looks good, I think some users may have trouble following the textual content. Another opinion is that IMDB would not like the fact that their logo doesn’t stand off the page. In-fact, the logo is almost hard to read as opposed to the other information on the page. What are your thoughts?

This is a great project by Dann Petty, for another one of Nike 6.0′s endeavors. Nike is giving everyone a chance to help maintain and keep the California coast beautiful with Surfca.li. Surfca.li is an epic journey from Northern California to Southern California hitting up the top surf spots along the way. Each stop consist of some awesome surfing and some in-depth lessons on how we can help protect our oceans and beaches. The Franz House

The Franz House is a beautiful concrete home, by BAK Architects, built in Mar Azul, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. The home consists of primarily concrete throughout, and the use of wood to create a subtle balance that is very pleasing to the eyes. You’ll notice the trees that appear to be growing “thru” the patio, and up thru the concrete roofing adds great character to this already beautiful home. Be sure to see the photos after the jump.

The Browne Street House is a reinterpretation of another well known dwelling place, the Queenslander Cottage. It really recaptures the plan of finding alternative ways for how space is used. This beautiful home is located in Brisbane Australia, built by Shaun Lockyer Architects and although the house doesn’t look like much from the street on which it lies, once you take a closer look, you can really see how great the home is.
