This is a beautiful home located in Bavaria, Germany designed by Karl Dreer and Bembe Dellinger Architects. The goal was to build a house where people can recover from the stresses of everyday life. The home is situated right in the middle of a breath-taking backdrop, which offers amazing views and was exactly what the Dreer Family was looking for. The Franz House

The Franz House is a beautiful concrete home, by BAK Architects, built in Mar Azul, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. The home consists of primarily concrete throughout, and the use of wood to create a subtle balance that is very pleasing to the eyes. You’ll notice the trees that appear to be growing “thru” the patio, and up thru the concrete roofing adds great character to this already beautiful home. Be sure to see the photos after the jump.

Browne Street House

The Browne Street House is a reinterpretation of another well known dwelling place, the Queenslander Cottage. It really recaptures the plan of finding alternative ways for how space is used. This beautiful home is located in Brisbane Australia, built by Shaun Lockyer Architects and although the house doesn’t look like much from the street on which it lies, once you take a closer look, you can really see how great the home is. Check out more photos after the jump.

A couple of weeks back I Posted a pretty awesome house done by Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects, or SAOTA. Well, here’s another beautiful home by SAOTA that is located in Cape Town, South Africa. This family home stands out primarily by the way the living spaces are laid out in conjunction with it’s surrounding layout. Almost all rooms open up to garden space or terrace, which allows the home to really take advantage of rather small property. See more photos after the jump.

Dakar Sow House

This home by Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects, or SAOTA, is absolutely mind blowing. Situated on a cliff side over looking the Atlantic Ocean, and built on the site of an old World War II bunker, Villa Sow is a result of precision and careful analysis. Part of the bunker was used to create what is now an underground cinema that opens up into a water courtyard in the entrance of the home. Building on top of such an immaculate cliff called for careful consideration of the eroding cliff face, and was structured accordingly. The solution was a building design that seemed to float off of the cliffs edge.

This is an outstanding house located in Johannesburg South Africa, done by Nico Van Der Meulen Architects. The project is a remodel of a 1950′s house in Bedfordview, built on five-story drop. My favorite feature, the infinity edge pool, was designed by Werner Van Der Muelen to extend over the steep fall and lends itself to amazing views. The home is wide open and spacious with frameless stacking doors creating a seamless indoor/outdoor sensation, with the pool protruding into the living room with the doors wide open.

This beautiful home by Canadian architects, Blouin Tardif Architecture, is located in Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Quebec. As you can tell, the home takes advantage of the gorgeous look of woodgrain throughout the majority of the house. Complimenting the house is the interior design, and allows the house to flow nicely and transition seamlessly from room to room.

The Hillside House

This home is located in Marin County in San Francisco, and was designed by Scott Lee of SB Architects. The house is the first of it’s kind, and is a statement of what is possible while combining “high design with high sustainability.” Located on a fairly steep incline provided for a very vertical design, with living rooms and bedrooms situated on multiple floors. The home also takes advantage of beautiful views of the San Francisco bay and skyline.
